하석준 작가는 기술의 창조와 예술의 창조 사이의 경쟁 모델을 찾고 있다.
특별히 인공지능의 한 분야인 생성적 적대 신경망(GAN)의 이론을 바탕으로
진짜 같은 가짜 작업을 만들면서 이것의 진위를 판별하는 모델의 경쟁을 통해 진짜와 가짜의 구분을 불가능하게 만든다.
그러나 이것들은 나의 프록시(대리객체)가 하는 일이다. 나는 그저 개발자이다. 나의 프록시는 예술과 같은 그런 것들을 만든다.
Seok-Jun Ha is looking for a competitive model between the creation of technology and the creation of art.
Especially based on the theory of the GAN(Generative Adversarial Network), a field of artificial intelligence.
He creates fake works that want to be looking real, and he competes with models that tell the truth about it
It makes the distinction between real and fake impossible.
But, these are the goal of my proxy .
I am a kind of developer.
My proxy will make sort of art.
After majoring in communication design at the Parsons School of Design in the United States and working as a member of the Strategic Marketing Team at Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Ha Seek-Jun obtained an MFA degree from the Korea National University of Arts as a media art major.
He has staged <The Platform of Suffering>, a media performance , in Milan, Italy and Seoul. Since then, by combining interactive art and performance, he has distorted experiences of illusions of low critical point that occur between humans and technology. He has served as the director of both the <Finding E-waste> project(2014) and non-profit arts organization Space_Ba 421 and is an artist on the project team ‘Art and Disaster’.
He received the grand prize in the ‘New Hero’ competition organized by monthly Public Art in 2015 and was selected as s ‘Quantum Jump’ artist during his residency at the Gyeonggi Creation Center in 2016, thus holding a solo exhibition in the Project Gallery of the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art. A resident artist in the MMCA Residency Goyang this year, he is working on the <Constrained Robot Drawings> project.
